Karachi Kings’ Batting Struggles and Highlights
The Kings managed to score 190/8 in their innings, mainly due to captain David Warner’s superb 75 (from 52 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes), giving an impressive strike rate of 144.23. The foundation for Kings’ score was set by Warner’s innings, which gave the side stability after some early dismissals.
Barring Khushdil Shah, only a few other batsmen turned their promising openings into big runs, but Shah played a vital unbeaten 27 off 14 deliveries which included some loud hits during pressure overs. Also, while Irfan Khan (18 runs) and Saad Baig (11 runs) had useful innings, the score remained below 200 runs.
